Tarka is a cafe situated in busy Mill Street offering locally sourced food, freshly made. Most of the food we buy is sourced within half a mile of our cafe and we are proud to support our local traders.

Patisserie Course
On Sunday 21st September I went on a Patisserie course at the renowned Ashburton Cookery School.
These are some of the pastries i made.

Charity at Tarka
Over the last twelve months we have a had a pot for North Devon Hospice on our counter and your regular donations of small change have amounted to £77. Thank you so much.
In August we hosted our second Breast Cancer Afternoon Tea event and this year we raised a staggering £425. This was all down to all of you who supported the event buying tickets, raffle and craft sale.

We have recently moved here from Birmingham and are very proud of our cafe and the friendly warm welcome we offer our customers.

We work to reduce our carbon footprint in every aspect of our business as so much of our produce is sourced within half a mile of the cafe.

All our food is freshly made on the premises and sourced locally, mostly from local traders in Mill Street.

We have a range of hot drinks, freshly baked scones, range of cakes, homemade cheesecakes, freshly made crusty sandwiches, homemade soup and locally made pasties.
